DescriptionJohn DUNN, ink and wash drawing of an incomplete plesiosaur skeleton [posterior, mainly tail, ribs and pelvis and other fragmented bones] from near Whitby, North Yorkshire, [1831]. Also pencil drawing comparing the size of a phalange of the Whitby plesiosaurus compared with a plesiosaur belonging to Thomas Hawkins, [1831]. On reverse are brief manuscript notes by William Lonsdale regarding the dates of the submission of Dunn's paper.
