Description'Tabular and proportional view of the superior, supermedial and medial rocks', Printed by K Watts, Crown Court, Temple Bar for T Cadell, Strand; and Treuttel and Wurtz, Treuttell Junior and Richter, Soho Square, 1828 (2nd edition). Lithographed base with hand colouring, sectioned and on linen.

The rock classification of the table is based on the stratigraphical terms of William Daniel Conybeare but includes the equivalent terms used by European geologists. At the base of the stratigraphical column is the Old Red Sandstone [Devonian], finishing at the top with the Tertiary series. Alongside are descriptions of each strata and lists of fossils found therein.
