At the front of file is a typescript letter from Ager to one of the students giving advice on what to bring on the trip, 7 June 1962.
Administrative History"A fourteen day tour (the seventeenth in the series financed by donations from the British Petroleum Company and the Burmah Oil Company) was held in July. The tour was under the direction of Dr D V Ager, with local assistance by Professor Laurentiaux, Dr M G Lienhardt, Dr J G Ramsay, and Mr B D Evamy. The primary theme of the tour was the tracing of the lateral variation of the Mesozoic and Tertiary rocks of France from the Boulonnais to the Alps. Twenty students took part."
