| Administrative History | The original Committee was set up under the chairmanship of Prof K C Dunham to raise £120,000 to improve and develop the Geological Society's premises as a result of the reorganisation of Burlington House following the move of the Royal Society. However the Committee was set up again in 1981 to fund the conservation and preservation of the archives and the production of a stratigraphical Atlas of Great Britain and northern Europe. |
