It was abolished in 2012 and replaced by the Publications and Information Committee (PIC).
In 2013 a new Library Users Group (LUG) was set up as a reporting committee of the PIC to advise on: potential new Library initiatives; the development and promotion of the Library’s collections; the development of e-resources; the information needs of on-site and remote Library users. LUG also oversees the effective communication of Library policy and initiatives to Library users with the aim of acting as a user group, to support the development of Library services and public engagement activities and to encourage the conservation and preservation of the archive, map and historical collections. |
