Administrative History | Following similar studies by the Institute of Physics and Royal Society of Chemistry into the content of undergraduate and postgraduate science courses, there was concern that Earth Science subjects would be left at a disadvantage in terms of competing for funds and students if they did not similarly address the modern demands of the subject. With this in mind, a Working Group on Higher Education Earth Science Courses, a joint venture with the Geological Society, CHUGD and CHPCGD, was tasked in assessing the results of a survey of the desirable requirements of Earth Science courses and make recommendations as required. |
