Administrative History | Established as the Geological Education Sub-Committee, changed to the Education Committee [CM 10/5/72], abolished/amalgamated with the Joint Education Committee (with the Institution of Geologists). The committee later became the Education and Training Committee, later Joint Earth Science Education Committee.
The Committee was established to inform and advise Council on all aspects of geological education, from primary to postgraduate.
The current Education Committee was established by the External Relations Committee in 1999. |
