Description | Secretary's In letters: from Eudes Deslongchamps, SOCIÉTÉ LINNÉENNE DE NORMANDIE, Caen, 30 May 1836
Translation:
To the Secretary of the Geological Society of London Caen, 30 May 1836 [Letter received on 14 June 1836] Sir, I am instructed by the Linnean Society of Normandy to offer to the Geological Society of London the fifth volume of its Memoirs and the report of its public meetings held at Falaise and Bayeux. I take advantage of the complacency of Mr. S. P. Pratt, member of the Geological Society, who is willing to hand over the volume and the two pamphlets. It is only as a tribute that the Linnean Society of Normandy offers its latest publications to the Geological Society. Nevertheless, if the Geological Society thought fit to send us some of its printed works, the Linnaean Society would receive them with gratitude. I have the honor to be, with the highest consideration, Sir, your very humble and very obedient servant Eudes-Deslongchamps |
