Administrative HistoryThis letter predates GSL/L/R/3/123, which Darwin subsequently asks for the abstract to be withdrawn. The paper referred to is "On certain areas of elevation and subsidence in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, as deduced from the study of Coral Formations", read 31 May 1837, and published in the 'Proceedings of the Geological Society', vol 2 (1837), pp552-554. See Council Minutes 14 June 1837 & 8 August 1837.
