Description
Secretary's In Letters: from Thomas AUSTIN, Mining and Assay Office, Bristol, to David Thomas Ansted, 6 May 1845. Re: arrangements for the purchase of the portion of the ichthyosaur skull from the estate of James Johnson Esq.
Administrative History
The portion of skull was part of the same specimen found by Mary Anning in Lyme Regis which was housed in the Society's Museum. It has since been lost.
