| CreatorName | Being desirous of having the Society's books, maps, charts and sections more available to its Fellows, the Council directed the Vice-Secretary, Professor David Thomas Ansted, in the spring of 1845 to begin preparations for a printed Library catalogue.
The final printed catalogue classifies the Library collections under subject but does not contain locations. Instead alphabetically indexed catalogues for the books and maps were to be used which indicated the case and shelf. |
