| Description | Manuscript catalogue index, [1862-1880], collating all of the books, monographs and journals received by the Library until 1880. Consists of publication titles cut from the previous printed catalogues of 1846, 1856, 1860 and 1863 which have been pasted alphabetically into a large volume, with pencil annotations of the case and shelf locations. Additional accessions received after 1863 are recorded by hand. The volume is likely to have formed the basis of the 'Catalogue of the Library of the Geological Society of London.
