| Administrative History | The map and chart holdings of the Society's Library are listed in the printed catalogue of 1846 and the first and second printed supplements of 1856 and 1860. The 1856 supplement also includes the only listing of the contents of the Society's portfolios (that is drawings, prints, sections and other visual material). However after this, only books, monographs and periodicals appear in the printed catalogues, the preface of each generally refers the reader to a separate catalogue of these holdings, kept by the Library. |
