Administrative HistoryDuring 1931, the Society was undergoing some redecoration. The photograph therefore may have been taken to show off the new carpet. At the rear of the image is the fossil rhinoceros skull (which we still have) and a plaster model of Peloneustes philarcus modelled by Rev Henry Neville Hutchinson and Mr Edward Godwin, the latter donating it to the Society on 10 May 1922 (which has not survived).
ProvenanceThe Society commissioned the photography at a cost of £1 5s, 1931.
