Administrative HistoryFrom 1874 the Royal Society, was like the other learned Societies, based in Burlington House. Following its move to its own premises in Carlton Terrace in 1967, there was a reorganisation of the building in order to share the space amongst the other Societies. The Geological Society took over the Chemical Society's meeting room, turning it into a library reading room and map room.
