CustodialHistoryThe painting was on show in the Society's Lyell Room until 2013, when it was transferred to the Archives.
ProvenanceInformation written on the label at the back of the frame [now removed]: 'Purchased by Graham Lea (with several others by the same artist) at Sotheby's, London in the mid-1970s. Sold by him (after years of badgering) to Stuart Baldwin on 20th June 1997'. Donated to the Geological Society by Stuart Baldwin on 7 March 2008.
