Administrative History	The Petroleum Group's medal is awarded for outstanding achievement in the field of exploration, geochemistry and geophysics. Designed by Jacqueline Steiger and first presented in 1991, the silver medal is presented to a person or a team of up to four who meet the requirements of the Medal Committee.
