DescriptionTwo photographs of Lot's Wife Rock, St Helena, taken by Mr Broadway at the request of William Henry TURTON, 8 December 1922.
Administrative HistoryLt Col Turton, late of the Royal Engineers, had attempted to photograph the feature when he was stationed on the island in 1884, however his attempts were disappointing. In 1920, hearing that a good photographer was now on the island, Turton sent a map and instructions and finally received the photographs he required in 1922.
