| Description | Copy of Dan McKenzie's dissertation 'The Constitution of the Earth's Mantle', submitted in application for a Fellowship from King's College, Cambridge, awarded in March 1965. Also, four files of working documents, including manuscript notes, bibliographic references, equations, plots/graphs, data sets and partial drafts relating to the dissertation on using atomic force laws to calculate the seismic velocities in the mantle. At the back of the file marked 'Equation of State Notes' are 3pp of prose by McKenzie concerning his thoughts about the people he has met whilst a student. |
