Description | Negatives, bromides and some photographs, mostly of the figures used in Dan McKenzie's published papers, [1970s]. Virtually none of the envelopes which contain the images are identified, and as McKenzie reused some of the images for different papers. One set can be identified as it contains a letter by John Skilbeck returning the images to McKenzie and relates to the paper Skilbeck, J N & D McKenzie, "An approximate method for determining the stability of two-scale flow in the mantle", 'Pure and Applied Geophysics', vol 117 (1979), pp958-987.
Also in the folder are two, large black and white photographs from the 'Crust of the Earth and its Mineral Deposits' conference held at the University of Toronto between 25-16 May 1979, one showing a group of delegates outside the Medical Science Building, and the other showing John Tuzo Wilson (Principal of Erindale College, University of Toronto), receiving the 'Albatross Award'.* |
