Administrative HistoryIn 1805, George Bellas Greenough embarked on a geological tour of Scotland and accompanied for the most part by James Skene, a lawyer and geologist who also undertook drawings of interesting geological phenomena on the way. This drawing and the two others by Skene given to the Society at the same time (LDGSL/400/1, 5) were sites visited during the tour. These drawings, therefore may date from this period.
ProvenancePresented to the Society by James Skene, 5 January 1810.
