| Administrative History | Dennis Curry (1912-2001) was a geologist and Fellow of the Society (elected 1937). He was further elected an Honorary Fellow on 3 May 1995. He was also managing director of his family's company Currys Ltd, donating 25,000 shares of the company to the Society in 1969. When Currys Ltd was taken over by Dixon, the shares were sold and the resulting income invested in setting up the Society's Publishing House. |
