Description | Manuscript draft of Adam Sedgwick's paper 'On the Older Palaeozoic Rocks of North Wales' by at least two unknown hands, [1843-1845]. The paper has been laid out to enable multiple corrections or edits, of which there are many, and is therefore likely to be the preparatory manuscript for publication. Small geological sections are pasted onto the paper, but item includes a loose manuscript map of North Wales and table of fossils, the latter compiled by John William Salter and James de Carle Sowerby, which were used to illustrate the published article. |
