DescriptionFour wood engravings of fossils in the collection of John EVANS, by O Jewitt, [1841], comprising:

1) 'A new species of encrinite'. Discovered at Frome Selwood, Frome, Somerset, in the summer of 1835.
2) Homalonotus ludentsis, front and side views.
3) Homalonotus ludentsis, front and side views.
4) Asaphus longi-caudatus.

One of the specimens of the trilobite Homalonotus ludentsis was figured in Roderick Murchison's 'Silurian System' (1839, plate 7) and is now held by BGS, GSM 4783.
