Description | Watercolour and pencil drawing of an imperfect specimen of the fossil fish Acanthodes sulcatus Agassiz, with scale structure details, by Theodor Hellmuth, [1835].
According to Agassiz's published text, the specimen was found in New Haven [Newhaven, Edinburgh], by Lord Greenock [Charles Murray Cathcart (1783-1859) 2nd Earl Cathcart]. The counterpart was in William Buckland's collection. |
