DescriptionRough pencil and wash drawing, with gouache highlights, of the fossil fish Semionotus bergeri Agassiz, possibly by Charles Weber, [1831-1834]. From Quadersandstein [quader sandstone], near Coburg, from Munich Museum.

Drawing annotated by Agassiz, 1841. The species 'Lepidotes spixii Agassiz' is also noted, as is a light pencil number of 'No.65 Brazil' at top right of drawing.

Administrative HistoryThe published volume attributes drawing to Joseph Dinkel, however other attributions in the volumes are frequently incorrect. The majority of the Munich drawings in the collection were undertaken by Charles Weber, which he also numbered.
