DescriptionWatercolour, ink and pencil studies of the palate and teeth of the fossil fish Placodus rostratus Münst, by Sixtus Heinrich Jarwart, 1838. Found in Muschelkalk, Laineck near Bamberg. According to Agassiz's published text, the skull fragment is from the collection of the district of Bamberg, the rest from the collection of Georg Graf von Münster, Comte de Münster.
