Description
Watercolour of a fragment of a fin spine from the fossil fish Onchus semistriatus, probably by Jacques Bourkhardt, [1835-1841]. According to the printed text the specimen was from the Old Red Sandstone of Southstone Rock, and in the collection of Roderick Murchison.
