DescriptionWatercolour of a fin spine, with a pencil and wash drawing of the microscopic texture, of the fossil fish Oracanthus Milleri, probably by Charles Weber, [1835]. According to the printed text the specimen was from the Carboniferous Limestone of the Black Rocks, Bristol, in the collection of the Bristol Institution.

Administrative HistoryAccording to the printed text, the specimen was given to the Museum by Hugh Miller, hence the name.
