Administrative HistoryCollected/drawn as part of the research for Louis Agassiz's 'Recherches sur les Poissons Fossiles' (1833-1843/1844).

Lady Eliza Maria Gordon Cumming and her eldest daughter Seymour were known to have drawn a number of their specimens which ended up in the hands of Louis Agassiz who used them without permission for his publications. This drawing appears to be the sole survivor.
