Administrative HistoryCollected/drawn as part of the research for Louis Agassiz's 'Recherches sur les Poissons Fossiles' (1833-1843/1844).

Miss Robertson was the sister of Reverend Duncan Robertson. The Robertsons ran a private boarding school for boys and were friends with Fellow John Grant Malcolmson. They were inspired by him to form their own fossil collection (now lost) from the local Findhorn beds.

The caption referring to drawing number indicates that it was likely to have been amongst the folio of drawings, mainly by Jonathan Stiven, sent to Louis Agassiz by Alexander Robertson in 1841. The rest survive in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
