Administrative HistoryAlthough in unpublished series drawing was published in Louis Agassiz's 'Recherches sur les Poissons Fossiles' (1833-1843/1844).

The specimen may be one of the items originally in the collection of the Museo Bozziano removed by Napoleon's army and taken to Paris, and which are now in the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle.
