Description | Incomplete pencil and watercolour sketch of the head of the fossil fish 'Dentex ventralis Agassiz', by Charlotte Wilhelmina Hibbert, wife of Samuel Hibbert [later Samuel Hibbert-Ware], [1833-1835]. Found in Monte Bolca, from the collection of Samuel Hibbert.
The sketch is on the reverse of a lithograph 'Osseous remains from the Limestone of Burdie-House', again drawn by Mrs Hibbert [Charlotte Wilhelmina Hibbert] and printed by J & W Smith, Lithographer, [1833-1835], which was published in, Hibbert, Samuel, 'Memoir on the fresh-water limestone of Burdiehouse [Burdie House], in the neighbourhood of Edinburgh, belonging to the Carboniferous group of rocks...'
