DescriptionWatercolours of three specimens, with microscopic detail of the plates, of the fossil fish Polyphractus hydrophilus Agassiz/Pterichthys hydrophilus Agassiz, by Joseph Dinkel, [1838-1844]. Found in Dura Den, Fife, from the collection of Prof Robert Jameson.

Note: Mahala Andrews indicates that the specimens were from Rev John Anderson's collection. The species is now known as Bothriolepis hydrophilia (Ag).
