Administrative HistoryDrawing is annotated 'Vol 2' which makes reference to Agassiz, J L R. 'Recherches sur les Poissons Fossiles' (1832-1843/4), but was published in Agassiz's follow-up monograph on the Old Red Sandstone. Specimen is likely to have been acquired from Lady Gordon-Cumming who distributed material in 1840.
