DescriptionWatercolour study, with scale details, of an incomplete specimen of an unidentified fossil fish [?Pleuropholis], by Joseph Dinkel, [1852-1861]. Found in the Middle Purbeck, Swanage (in bed 61 or 62 in Mr Austen's table of the Purbeck strata), from the collection of the Mr W R Brodie.

'Austen's table' appears in: Austen , J H "A guide to the Geology of the Isle of Purbeck and the South-West coast of Hampshire", Blandford: W Ship (1852).
