DescriptionPrint, 'View of the Fourchi Point in the Isle of Alderney', 1811, engraved by M Barenger, based on a drawing by John MACCULLOCH. Caption printed in the 'Transactions...' states the print "is a view of the Fourchi Point in the Isle of Alderney, representing the great fracture in porphyry rock, of which this headland is composed. The open sea is the passage called the 'Race of Alderney', and Cape la Hogue is seen in the distance."
