DescriptionMurchison correspondence: letter from General Sir John Fox BURGOYNE, The War Office, 23 Feb 1865. Re: Has forwarded Murchison's letter on the remains found in Gibraltar to General Frome [?Captain F Brome] recommending that he send samples but has just received a letter from him with a specimen for Mr Busk [George Busk], who he doesn't know, so asks Murchison to forward it on for him.
Administrative HistoryConfusingly Captain Frederick Brome and Major-General Frome were stationed on the island at the same time. It is therefore unclear to which man the author refers.
