Administrative HistoryThe account of the gravel bed appears to bear similarities to the paper: Egerton, P G E, "On a Bed of Gravel containing Marine Shells of recent species, at 'The Willington', in Cheshire", read 29 April 1835, published in 'Proceedings of the Geological Society of London', vol 2, no.40 (1835), pp189-190.
