DescriptionMurchison correspondence: letter from George William FEATHERSTONHAUGH, Philadelphia, USA, 22 Feb 1830. Re: Is planning to send to Charlotte Murchison a box of American shells along with a work by Isaac Lea, advises Murchison that Lea would wish something in return; is also sending copies of a nonsensical poem 'Deluge' for distribution, although anonymous everyone knows that he is the author; relates his trip on a steam boat up the Hudson River where he came up with the idea.
