DescriptionMurchison correspondence: letter from George William FEATHERSTONHAUGH, Philadelphia, USA, 28 Oct 1831. Re: has been informed that his communication and cast of a fossil Rhinoceroides were not presented before the Geological Society as Buckland and others believed that the latter had been artificially enhanced, bitterly complains of the expense caused and wishes Murchison as President will see the injustice; hopes Murchison will promote his journal to the Society; wishes a coloured set of Sowerby's 'Mineral Conchology' and also Philips' Yorkshire' but has heard it is out of print.
