DescriptionMurchison correspondence: letter from George William FEATHERSTONHAUGH, Philadelphia, USA, 18 Mar 1832. Re: sends Murchison casts of a scaphite, bivalve and saurian teeth, with explanations of where they were found correlating it with Scarborough, Yorkshire and Kimmeridge Clay; asks if Murchison will show the bivalve to Sowerby; the scaphite and saurian casts to go to the Geological Society as will Wetherell's cast of Megalonyx; his publisher has failed; keen to see Lyell's second volume of 'Principles' which has just been announced.
