Re: forwarding his paper on the Old Red Sandstone which contains a scale of Holoptychius, Samuel Hibbert absurdly thought that the remains of the Megalichthys specimen was the paddle of a crocodile; thinks one of the figures is a dorsal plate of a pterichthys; visit by the Rev Muir; his son Andrew's work on the Salt Range of India.
