Re: Murchison's letter read to Council which resulted in the Wollaston Medal being awarded to Ami Boue instead of Constant Prevost and the Fund to Alcide d'Orbigny to assist him in the publication of his works; 'House list' is settled [ie secretaries] and the new members of Council; unanimous resolution condemning Ansted's dereliction of duty due to his taking on other activities since his appointment, hopes it will lead to his immediate resignation without having to pass another resolution ordering him to resign; brief reference to papers of Prestwich, Nasmyth and Whewell. |
