| Description | Murchison correspondence: letter from Charles LYELL, 3 Dec 1832. Re: Is working on a chapter [from Principles] on Lyell's and Murchison's trip to central France [in 1828] and wishes to borrow Murchison's map of France to make a woodcut; also would like back Von Buch's map of Europe which Murchison borrowed to create his map of the Eastern Alps; has Murchison's copy of Desmarest's map of Auvergne; will look out letters from [Leonard] Horner on [Samuel] Hibbert. |
