| Description | Murchison correspondence: letter from Hugh MILLER, Edinburgh, 23 May 1850. Re: thanks Murchison for proposing Miller as of the lecturers at the forthcoming meeting of the British Association, but thinks he is unqualified and his health has been poor lately; keen to show 'English geologists' some of his latest curious fossils including different ages of 'gonoidal structure' and Asterolepis; has had the pleasure of entertaining Professor Agassiz who is editing the American edition of Miller's book 'Footprints'; taking casts of his specimens. |
