Description | Murchison correspondence: letter from Joseph Barclay PENTLAND, Paris, 6 Aug 1832. With printed Sheets (in French). Re: sending Murchison a copy of an address requesting assistance in erecting a monument to the recently deceased Georges Cuvier, and updating Murchison on those who have filled various positions that Cuvier had held at the time of his death. Accompanied by the printed address explaining why Cuvier should be celebrated in this way, where the monument should be sited (Jardin des Plantes), and requesting the financial assistance of interested parties. |
