Re: Will not be in town to add his 'feeble support' against Diluvian theory, is unclear what line of defence William Buckland will take for his 'buffoonery', has heard from Charles Lyell who is in Naples studying Vesuvius and asks if Murchison could forward Scrope's published paper on the geology of Naples to Lyell by some expedient means, complains about the lack of authors' reprints due to the publisher's problems with the plates, anxious to hear about Murchison's trip to France and hopes for a peep into Mrs Murchison's portfolio of drawings, congratulates them both on their safe return home.
