Sketches of scenery and geology in Wales and the Welsh Borders, by various artists, [1833-1838], a number of which were published in Roderick Impey Murchison's ‘Silurian System’(1839).
Provenance
Murchison collection. Although the original 1980s catalogue records all of the drawings being by Charlotte Murchison, when comparing the drawings to the published book the file actually contains work by a number of different artists. There are at least five identifiable artists - Thomas Webster, Charlotte Murchison, Lady Lucy Clive, Harriet Clive and Hugh Edwin Strickland.
