Included are eyewitness testimonies and reports, with manuscript and lithographic illustrations describing the earthquake and the damage to the Eastern Bengal State Railway. Notably at the back is a transcript of the diary of Pandit Matadin Sukul, Assistant Engineer, recording events every fortnight between 15 November 1897-31st March 1898 with hand-drawn, lithographic maps.
